Today was our first cookout! We had to cook for about 30 people. We decided to make a full course meal with a side dish, main course, and a dessert. So, what did it take to make such an elaborate meal? First, we had to plan out all our recipes and ingredients to buy. We were picky about the ingredients we needed to buy so we asked our moms to take us shopping to three different stores: Costco, Trader Joes, and Fred Meyers. Next, we decided to make the dessert and prepare the main course and salads on the previous night.

Of course we had to wear our chef hats and aprons before we began cooking!

For the side dish, we decided to make a nice, healthy salad. And for the main dish, we made a baked-ziti pasta dish. Last but not least, for dessert, brownies was the way to go! If you are interested in making any of these dishes, just click here to go to our recipes tab.

When we served this food, everyone loved it. When we asked them what we could improve on, one person said,"I just have one complaint: There wasn't enough food on my plate." It made us feel very happy that everyone enjoyed it! - Neha
