Mango Ice Cream

For my 11th birthday, I received a Kitchen-Aid Ice Cream Attachment. This was the gift of my dreams, as I had researched all about it in the past. This recipe would not be possible without it. When I was thinking about which dessert we should make for this cookout, I remembered that this was my 1-year anniversary with my Ice Cream Attachment! I remembered that I had made a delicious mango ice cream, that was a hit at the neighborhood block party. I thought that it would also be a hit at the shelter, and I was very happy that it was! I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Serves 10-12

Ingredients:
2-3 ripened fresh mangos,
1 cup milk
2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cardamom powder

Procedure:
Make sure that your Kitchen-Aid Ice Cream Attachment has been in the freezer for 24 hours before starting this recipe.
In a bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, and sugar together, until the sugar particles have dissolved. Add the mixture into the Kitchen-Aid Ice Cream Attachment and start the mixer 4. Cut your mangos into small slivers and add them in portions to the attachment. Add the vanilla extract and cardamom powder after you add the mangos. Leave the mixer at 4 for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, transfer the ice cream into a different container and freeze for 4-6 hours. After that time, you have a fresh and delicious ice cream to eat!
