Lima Bean Hummus

I love for a twist on a classic recipe, so when I found a recipe for lima bean hummus, I wanted to try my own version of it. This is a super simple recipe to make in bulk, and it is also super delicious! I hope you enjoy my take on this recipe!

Ingredients:
2 14oz. cans lima beans (or 1 can of 

29oz)
3 pods of garlic
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp lime juice


Procedure:
Wash and drain the lima beans. Transfer to a microwave-safe dish and pour one cup of water into it. Microwave the lima beans for four minutes. Once cooled, add the lima beans, garlic pods, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt and pepper to a food processor. Start the food processor and slowly pour in the olive oil. Use a utensil to incorporate the ingredients. Once it is a smooth consistency, transfer to a serving dish. Mix in the lime juice and your hummus is ready to be served!
