Q&A with Ashwika

Ashwika is a 7 year old. She is one of our younger volunteers who has been consistently helping us since the pandemic hit.

What do you like to do in your free time?

"Play with my pet dog Ozzy, jumping on the trampoline, reading books and cooking"

Why did you start volunteering for the RainyDayChefs?

"Because there are kids and families around the world that don't get enough food to eat and I would like to help."

What's your favorite part about cooking?

"The delicious smells"

​

What are different ways in which you like helping out the community? Why?

"I am an environmentalist - I do my bit wherever I can. Picking up trash that has been left around carelessly in parks, planting, I care for animals and bugs, I maintain a bee house, reduce use of plastic."

Anything else you'd like to share?

"Thank you to the Rainy Day Chefs for the wonderful work you do. Keep it up. I like the salads and the gift you gave me to cook with."
