Hello, my name is Arnav and I am in 7th grade. I like chess, cricket, art, and piano. My sister and I volunteered to prepare food for the cause that Rainy-Day chefs serve. The very first dish we made was the Mozzarella pasta salad.  It makes me very happy to be able to help people in need by making food. While we feel fortunate to get this opportunity, we have also enjoyed the recipes and trying new food.  

I love to bake with my mom and my sister. Our favorite is the Macarons and chocolate chip cookies. I also like to be my dad’s sous chef when he cooks different cuisines. My favorite dish is Kung Pao Tofu.  

I have always been a picky eater. But, after looking at the recipes and making them from Rainy Day Chef’s, my food options have improved. We really love the pasta salad and it has become a regular dish at our home. I can’t wait to make a Rainy Day chef’s dishes with my whole family. 

I want to continue to help my community in ways like cooking, fundraising, and donating to food banks or adopting a family in need when we can. We also would like to volunteer at an animal shelter when ever we can in the future.
